New proof of Viagra (sildenafil) effectiveness
Viagra (sildenafil) is the first unique effective and reliable oral preparation for erectile dysfunction treatment.
There were 21 placebo controlled clinical trials of Viagra carried out in different countries in which more than 3000 men suffering from erectile dysfunction participated. The age of the patients was from 19 to 87. The duration of ED was 5 years on average. During these trials Viagra was taking when it was necessary 1 hour prior to a coming sexual activity. In all clinical trials Viagra has demonstrated statistically trustworthy advantage comparing to placebo.
Summable results which have been received in the course of 2 main researches which lasted for 6 months indicated the improvement of erection in 78% of the patients who used Viagra as against 20% of the patients who used placebo.
It was noticed that 81% of the patients had at least one successful attempt of the coitus; on average the patients had 4 successful coituses of 5. When taking Viagra the increase of the number of successful attempts of the coitus comparing to cases with placebo use has been noticed.
In comparison with unconfigured state the index of increase of capability to reach erection with use of Viagra (dosage 100mg) was 94% and the index of increase of capability to keep it up was 125%. This is the evidence of established (р<0,0001) improvement of these two indexes as against the use of placebo.
Sexual partners questioning confirmed the results of significant improvement of the patients’ capability to reach erection as well as to keep it up.
In the international index of erectile function there are 5 separate components of the sexual function which are singled out. After Viagra treatment the points received for all these components (except the component “sexual attraction”, which did not decrease while ED) differed significantly from the points in men who used placebo (р<0,001).
In a year after the treatment by the open method 88% of men informed that their erection kept on improving and 90% said that they would like to go on being treated. After Viagra treatment stopping the points which had been received for capability to reach and keep up the erection returned to initial index. This is an evidence of necessity to continue Viagra treatment to keep the achieved therapeutic effect. The data as for Viagra addiction was absent.
Viagra normalizes the erectile function of the wide range of the patients with:
- adenoma of prostate, trauma, irradiation, after operation on pelvic bones;
- diabetes mellitus;
- arterial hypertension ( there is no significant interaction of Viagra with antihypertensive drugs);
- depression (there is no significant interaction of Viagra with antidepressants).
Viagra normalizes the erectile function after spinal cord trauma.
