Its success belongs to obstinacy of the chemist Leo Sternbach. He refused to retire after his boss had finished the project of creating new tranquilizer on the chemical factory Hoffmann – La Roche that could, as it was supposed, successfully compete with analogous preparation of a competitive company. Leo Sternbach was entrusted to test the newest modification of one of such once more synthesized preparations.
